Acrylic Landscape Painting

Students were given an assignment regarding different kinds of landscapes.  Students were asked to chose either atmospheric perspective, one point or tow point perspective to create their landscape out of.  Other requirements included that they must have some form or architecture within their scene.  They also need to mix their own colors, have good composition, and using the palate knife and modeling paste to create texture within their pieces.  Students create cityscapes, seascapes, and landscapes to fore fill this requirements.  Students also worked with layering to create depth within their artwork.  Students often struggle with painting so this lesson really taught them all aspects of painting from different types of acrylic paints, landscape artists, and tools used in painting.  Here is what the Basic level came up with.
