Great Design Challenge

6th and 7th grade students worked on several design challenges during the 4th quarter.  The purpose of each design challenge was to stimulate and engage students in creative thinking and problem solving.  Some projects were worked on independently while others were worked on collaboratively.  Students worked on a game design challenge, a community advertisement for Virginia Beach Tourism, and a shoe design transformation. Here are some of the examples of what students created.

ViBe Creative District Inspired Murals

Students worked with the ViBe Creative District in Virginia Beach to create murals inspired by contemporary art and the beach community in which they lived.  Students worked in collaborative groups to create their murals that will be on display in the ViBe Creative District.  Here is what 8th grade students created.
