Inanimate Objects turned to Life!

Students create artwork based on transformation and humor for this 3D assignments.  students each brought in a household object.  With that object students were asked to turn that object to life.  Students will building upon the object and also create a landscape in which the object was placed.  This 3D assignment was both focused on 3D form as well as photography when photographing their scene in which heir pieces resided in. Students had fun looking at varies artist work by gaining inspiration for this assignment.





























Functional Magazine Vessles

Students learned about the importance of recycling art materials to create works of art. students were introduce to the art of magazine bowls.  As a class we discussed 3D form and the properties that make up a piece. We also discussed functional forms versus sculptural forms.  As a class each student was promoted to create a bowl entirely out of magazines.  Their second task was the then be creative and create their own different form to building their skills and knowledge and what they have learned previously.
