Paint Swatch Lanscapes, Animals, and Portraits OH MY!

Student will be looking at the artwork of Jennifer Lashbrook and her inspiration work using paint swatches.  Students then in return influence by her work will create a work of art using only paint swatches.  Students were given examples of landscapes, animals and portraits.  Students worked with 2D design as well as color theory when developing their idea. Students broke down a photograph as far as figuring out what colors to include in each section of the work.  students used different cutting stratigies and placement for planning of this piece. Here is what 4th and 5th graders came up with for this project.
